Sapientia Education Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Officer to join our school-based Finance Team. The finance operation that supports these schools is based across the Trust’s secondary schools, with this role based at Ixworth High School.
Ixworth High School is a small high school set in the picturesque Suffolk countryside. We have been over-subscribed in recent years and have 600 pupils. The school enjoys a positive reputation in the community. The students demonstrate respect, motivation and very good behaviour in their learning. Our school vision is to provide an education system that truly serves those it educates by always reflecting on and addressing individual needs, strengths, and interests. Ixworth High School is a member of the Sapientia Education Trust (SET), an expanding multi-academy Trust with 13 primary and 9 secondary schools.
This post offers an opportunity to work in the growing finance team with responsibility for the whole school finance function - processing invoices, dealing with supplier, customer and parent queries, producing payment runs, statement reconciliations for various schools and the wider trust. The ideal candidate will possess strong team working skills, the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff and be a resilient problem solver. Support for training (e.g. AAT and ACCA) will be offered should the post holder wish to undertake professional qualifications.
Applications will be considered on receipt, so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
